About this face

Read the time at a glance. Field Digital combines bold digital numerals, a clean layout and useful everyday information with colors you can make your own. Choose Original for the classic black face and muted yellow accents, or Light for a white background, black hours and dark red minutes. Select Custom to adjust the background, hours, minutes, supporting text and accents independently. Choose black or white backgrounds and 12 foreground colors in the phone or on-watch settings. Presets keep your saved Custom palette. Make the four data fields your own. The default layout shows elevation above a fine divider, with heart rate, steps and battery below. Recognizable icons keep the display clear and uncluttered. Each field offers 18 choices: steps, outdoor temperature, battery, distance, calories, floors climbed, heart rate, Body Battery, stress, VO2 max, elevation, UV index, wind, respiration, pressure, active minutes, sunrise and sunset. Configure them on your watch or through the Connect IQ settings. Tap a supported field to open its Garmin detail view. Choose 12-hour time, 24-hour time or your device preference. Distance, elevation and weather units follow your watch settings. On compatible AMOLED watches, the always-on display preserves the layout with outlined time, dimmed icons and subtle movement. During always-on mode, secondary readings remain cached while time and battery update. Field uses Garmin-provided data locally and does not send your health or location data to an external service.
