About this face

Something not working, or not right for you? Please do not leave a negative review. Press "Contact developer" on this store page instead. I will fix or change it, and then you can rate it well. Many people think a review is a way to reach me, and it hurts me by accident. Not sure you want it because you would change something? Write there too, I will adjust it. If you like it, there is a QR code in the settings menu where you can buy me a coffee. A good rating also helps me stay in the store. I am a student and this work pays for my studies. 7-day free trial, then a one-time 3.99 EUR unlock code at dialforge.dev. No subscription. After the trial, the face checks online through your phone whether you have bought the unlock code, so it can unlock by itself. It sends only the watch ID and the face name, nothing else. Your wrist is now a terminal session. Shell Time turns the watch face into a login shell: a blinking prompt, a big monospace clock, and your stats printed out like command output. Built for developers, sysadmins and anyone who feels more at home in a terminal than a dashboard. mateusz@run:~$ time 14:12:08 TUE 29 SEP 2026 watching: steps 4200/8000 hr 68 bpm steps 4200 [#####--] batt 82% (11d) $ _ Features: - Monospace VT323 font, real blinking block cursor (only ticks while the screen is awake) - Three configurable status lines with ASCII progress bars - Your own prompt: pick a name on the watch (user, runner, athlete, n30, agent) with a live preview on most watches, or type your own in the Connect IQ app on your phone (max 12 characters), plus a host name (garmin, run, fit, wrist, gym). Result: name@host - A log line that watches you: 45 short messages in 13 languages, chosen from your real day (steps against goal, time of day, heart rate, battery, streak, sitting too long). It changes every minute and types itself out. Switch it off with Watched mode - Four terminal color themes: Green, Amber, White, Cyan - Clean always-on display: dim clock and prompt, no burn-in Data fields (pick any 3 for the status lines): heart rate, steps, battery, distance, calories, floors, active minutes, body battery, stress, altitude, notifications, solar intensity, battery days, temperature, sunrise, sunset, next sun event, respiration, SpO2, recovery time, pressure, resting HR, VO2max, sleep score, training status, 5K predictor, calendar, weekly run distance, moon phase, week number, day of year. Settings: on the watch (hold MENU, then Watch face, then Customize) or in the Connect IQ app. Sunrise and sunset: the times are worked out from the last known location of your watch, so the face asks for the Location permission. If a field shows --, start GPS once, for example with an outdoor activity. Garmin does not give watch faces access to HRV status or Training Readiness, so no Connect IQ watch face can show them. Trial: 7 days with everything working, then a reminder (days 8 to 14), a simple screen with the time and your Watch ID (days 15 to 29), and from day 30 a lock screen with a QR code. Buy the code at dialforge.dev for the Watch ID shown there and in the face settings. Code not working? Write to kontakt@dialforge.dev and we fix it or refund you. FROM THE MAKER I am a student and I build Dialforge watch faces myself, after classes. I do not own every watch model, so if something looks wrong on yours, write to me at https://dialforge.dev/faces/shelltime/ and I will usually fix it within 24 hours. If you like the face, you can buy me a coffee: https://buycoffee.to/iwannaflysohigh
