A Hebrew watch face that knows when Shabbat begins. The face does not switch any sensor or measurement off — it only does not show them. SHABBAT TIMES ARE OFF UNTIL YOU TURN THEM ON. In the face's settings on your phone, set "זמני שבת וחג לפי מיקום" to Israel or Diaspora. That sends your approximate location (rounded to about 1 km), time zone and dates to Hebcal.com, which calculates candle-lighting and Havdalah. Nothing else is sent, and setting it back to off stops all requests and deletes the stored times. From five minutes before candle lighting until five minutes after Havdalah — Shabbat and every Yom Tov, on any weekday — the face switches by itself to a full Hebrew layout: the greeting, the Hebrew and Gregorian dates, the time, the parasha or holiday, and when they end. Purim, Chanukah and Chol HaMoed keep the weekday face. Candle lighting is 18 minutes before sunset everywhere, Havdalah at nightfall. The times follow your location, and you can also pick your city from a list so they are always right for it. The rest of the week: a large clock, the date in Hebrew, heart rate, battery, notifications and steps. On Friday and the eve of a holiday, the candles; other days, the next sunrise or sunset.
